Phuket Airport (HKT/VTSP) is situated on the most north-east part of Phuket Island not far from the bridge connecting the island to the mainland. The airport has just finished a reconstruction/expansion of the International terminal also adding a larger apron in the west with open-air stands serviced by transfer buses instead of by air bridge.
Besides Suvernabhumi, Bangkok’s Don Mueang Intl. Airport is an important gateway for Thailand’s capitol city. The airport has been closed closed in 2006 but has been reopened just one year later to handle the upcoming low cost traffic. Air Asia and Nok Air are the main carriers and due to its colorful liveries its always worth to make a stop at this place.

The enormous variety from asian airlines makes this airport very special and he is surrounded with some very nice spotting location too.
Koh Samui, a small island in the gulf of Thailand is a popular place for tourist from all over the world. The airport is private owned by Bangkok Airways and because of that situation the airline variety is very low. PG is responsible for almost all flights using there A320´s and ATR72 and they have a wide variety of different paintings on the planes so it can get pretty interesting to catch all the beautyful birds. The airport is located between Chaweng on the east and Boh Put in the north.
