About: Bas (born 1986) started spotting in 1997 when his dad took him to Schiphol Airport, alongside the runway. The first photos were taken with a Minolta X-700. A few years later, when his interest in aviation developed more, he switched to a Nikon F65. Later on, Bas entered the digital era by buying his first digital camera, a D70S, in 2006.
Bas is an all-round spotter, spotting almost everything: commercial aviation, military aviation, general aviation and wrecks & relics. He is always searching and travelling the world for new airports, airbases and museums to spot new aircraft, aircraft types and new registrations. His collection of photos has grown significant over the years.
