Windhoek Eros Airport (ERS/FYWE) is the regional airport of Windhoek, located 4km south of the center of the capital of Namibia. The airport is home to FlyNamibia, the country’s quite young regional carrier serving the country with E145s, plus lots of general aviation as Eros is home to the national Namibian aviation training acadamy NATA. In addition, the Namibian government also has its base in the airport’s southeast for their governmental aircraft. In front of the terminal on the apron, you may also still see the old Namibian DC4; allegedly you can also take pictures from inside the terminal where you can find a sort of terrace on the second floor: let us know, if you tried it!
The airport serves some 80.000 passenger a year with 22.000 movements a year.

| Security | Spotting is obviously not a common hobby in Namibia. Therefore, be sure to keep a low profile and do not hang around with your expensive gear all the time. |
| Single spot: Windhoek Country Club Course hole 3 – 01 Movements | |

| WHERE | This spot is located on the golf course of Windhoek Country Club Resort. It is a hotel connected with a large golf course in the southwest of the airport. You can park your car in front of the club and then try to make your way towards the airport area/fence: from hole 3 we had a great view.
You can probably shoot the same runway/taxiway movements in the morning from the other side of the runway on the property of the golf court. Let us know, if you tried it and it worked. |

| TIME | From later noon till sunset. |
| MISC. | We stayed at the resort as hotel guests, thus it was absolutely no issue to walk around; but also for non-guests, it seemed to be possible. The golf course has some security, but they do not normally bother visitor or hotel guests. However, you should keep a low profile and do not disturb the golf players around here. |
