I visited early April 2025. The terminal is being renovated and extended. There is currently no access to the area left of the terminal building and I suspect that once the extensions are complete, this area will be either significantly reduced or gone altogether. There is a small gap to the right of the terminal near the tower where the apron can be seen but not much chance of photos. As far as I could see, there are no longer any aircraft on the far side. Satellite picture was possibly taken during the pandemic when aircraft were stored. There are some stored aircraft in front of the hangars. Bus into town (Number 29 – EUR 1 cash to the driver) runs somewhat randomly, presumably to tie in with flights. Google maps will show you the route but times are wrong – this applies across the city.Remember there is a GA airfield on the other side of the city with an excellent museum. They are currently renovating so only outdoors available but if you are prepared to pay for a tour, you may be able to visit indoors. This airfield also has a MI-8 based on SAR duties straight opposite the museum.
There seem to be about 10 737/A320 signed planes stored south of the runway. Can one get close to these? Any thoughts about registrations? Thanks!
Can you please send coordinates of this spotting place? Thank you!
