Pardubice Airport (PED/LKPD) is both military and civilian international airport 4km south-west from city of Pardubice, Czech Republic. This airport is used for scheduled services, charter flights and cargo flights. Airport Pardubice is used by the Czech Air Force and LOM Prague for pilot training and in 2017 a terminal, apron and ground handling was installed. The new terminal building bears the name of Jan Kašpar, Czech aviation pioneer. In 2024 the airport handled 200.000 passengers and is served by Bulgaria Air, Ryanair, SkyExpress and Smartwings.

Spot #1 – Line up RWY09 |

| WHERE | From the terminal leave in western direction until bigger intersection. Turn left on street “32228” and follow the street until the next roundabout. Use third exit with eastern direction. Follow this street until you need make a 90 degress turn to left or right infront of a field. Turn left and drive until you reach the fence. Coordinates are: 50.012351, 15.723827 |

Spot #3 – Line Up RWY27 |

| WHERE | From the terminal leave in eastern direction until crossing a bigger road on a bright, turn left at the intersection. On the following roundabout use the third exit and follow street “3” in southern direction until a traffic light intersection. Turn right on street “32226” to small village “Stare Jesencany”. After crossing the railway turn right at next intersection and again right on next intersection where a small soccer and baskeball field is on left side of the road. Follow now the street until the end. Park there and walk to the left to get to the postions. Coordinates are: 50.011439, 15.755303 |
| WHAT | Perfect for all activities if 27 is active. If you walk to the west, you can also catch 09 arrivals and departures and 27 touch downs. |

Spot #4 – Approach RWY27 |

Spot #5 – Bike Path – Approach RWY27 |

| WHERE | There is a bike path right under the 27 approach where you can spot from. It’s the most popular spot at the airport. The best way to get there is by car. From Pardubice drive southwards on 37 and after the end of the town turn right into a small alley. Parking is available at the new constructed chapel. Otherwise it’s possible to park on the north side of the approach, right next to the football field. Position yourself anywhere along the path for the preferred angle.
By public transport get off at Nové Jesenčany and walk the rest of the way (10-15 minutes). |

| TIME | Best conditions from 11:00 to 17:00. In the summer evenings stay on the northern side of the approach path. |
| MISC. | No drinks or food, no restrooms. No issues with the police but dont drive your car on the bike path. You could probably get a fine. Bikes are here a lot so be aware of that. |

Things change here a lot so i would NOT stand near the fence, police doesnt like it. If you want to spot go to spot 5!
As of today, i never had any problem with security. Just dont be really close to the fence and you should be fine. I even think the police tolerates it if you are nice.
From autumn 2025, photography will be banned around the entire airport and will be controlled by military police.

I think because fighter jets will be here from another military base and the security will be tougher. But i think if you go to the fence and you dont look suspicious its not a problem. Atleast for me i never had any problems but we will see…
