Lanseria International Airport is a privately owned international airport. It’s situated north west of Johannesburg Airport, less then 1 hour by car. The airport can handle aircraft up to the size of the B753. Since the early beginnings in 1974, this internationally recognised airport has established itself as a key player in the aviation sector with domestic, regional and international flights from scheduled airline operators and Charter companies.
Mango and Kulula.com are the mainly two operator at HLA but SAA and Comair still have some scheduled flights. They primarily serve Cape Town and Durban with B733, B734 and B738. But the airport known as a for maintenance in South Africa. They organise ramp tour for spotters for the amount of 30$ for the day. But the ramp can be made in 4 hours. I made approximately more than 100 aircraft.

Hello,
Is the e-mail address for the ramp tour still accurate?
Thanks for the info.
Regards, Robert
Answering my own question: I just got a reply from the airport, so yes, it’s still accurate.
Good to hear that. Thanks for the feedback.
I got the feedback from Kerry-Lee Oliver / Permit Adminstrator that they where still not allowing tours, this was on Feb. 8th 2022.
I visited the airport on 2nd Feb 22 with no large aircraft around only the remains of one BAC111, an almost gone DC6 and a F28 (ZS-JES).
Today nice airport for small stuff and bizjets
Okay thanks for the update. Guess tours are not offered because of COVID-19.
Too bad that the big jets are almost gone.
